Q. Coming from your position as CXO / HR Head, what is your experience with regards to health issues of your employees?
Ans. It’s very interesting to see that people are taking Health seriously. Both young and Old. This was definitely not the case a couple of years ago. Thanks to the Web – with increasing information and awareness, employees are thinking towards a direction of “Healthy Living”. While there is awareness, it will take some more time for thoughts to become actions. It’s a better situation now in corporates, employees actively participate in health related programs. They do acknowledge the Healthcare / Wellness initiatives we provide. There is a Feel good factor.
Q. Do you see or experience any issue with loss of work times due employee health issues – chronic or otherwise? How important is Holistic health of employee important towards the realizing the company’s goals?
Ans. We do experience such situations and this has been a concern for us. While we continue to provide various platforms to improve benefits and facilities at the work place, it an area that needs continuous evaluation and enhancement. Holistic Health surely is in the right direction to improve the situation and we feel this could be an answer to most of our challenges. It was indeed a good experience to see what RespiCare is doing in this Holistic Health space.
Q. Does your company provide believe in creating environment and facilities for improving and maintaining the employee health? What are the initiatives that you currently have or would like to have going forward?
Ans. Yes, as an organisation, employee health plays an important Role. We have provided various platforms and among these a fully equipped Gym with an instructor and a Yoga centre with a Yoga Teacher. As I said, this is a space that needs continuous focus and we keep addressing this.
Q. Does your company have or offer any type of Healthcare program / support to its employees? What is it?
Ans. Apart from a complete Health Insurance program, we have a wellness Team that works on multiple initiatives to ensure employees are regularly educated on wellness. The team conducts onsite camps for our employees, these include – basic health checks, dental checks.
